For quite a while I have been hearing great things about The Ordinary’s products, so one-day last month I decided to pop onto their website and see what I could find, first off I was impressed by the prices, this whole order came to under twenty dollars including shipping.
High-Adherence Silicone Primer
The formula of this reminds me a lot of a face cream, it comes out white and has a creamy texture. Once it is applied it is clear and makes the skin feel soft and smooth.
High-Spreadability Fluid Primer
This primer has a very different formula than any I have ever used before, it is exactly what it says, a fluid primer. It comes in a dropper bottle, has a liquid gel-like texture, it melts into your skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth.
At this point, I prefer the Fluid primer to the silicon primer because it is so unique, but honestly, I haven’t noticed a huge difference in their effectiveness once under makeup. They are both brilliant little primers and at the price I don’t think you could find better.
Serum Foundation
This is a sheer but buildable coverage foundation, it applies and blends easily and gives a nice healthy glowy finish.
I have used a much more expensive serum foundation in the past and wasn’t half as impressed as I am with this one.
Coverage Foundation
It says high-coverage and it is just that. A little of this goes a long way, I usually use one to one and a half pumps for my whole face. It has a creamy texture and feels light and comfortable on my skin.
I really like both of these foundations, I love the serum foundation for light makeup days or when I just want healthy but don’t want to bother with anything else. The coverage foundation is more of a flawless, full face.
Something also has to be said for the color match of both the foundations. The system on the website to pick your color is very simple, and I felt fairly confident in my choice, and they turned out to be the perfect match for me.
i bought the foundation in the wrong shade gutted because I’ve heard so many great things about it
