Welcome to Wandering!
From New England and beyond! Here is where you will be finding everything I’ve written about my travels, and I’ll be adding more soon.
We only had a short stay in Dublin, one day and two nights, so we didn’t get to see much of the city. Most of our exploration was within a few blocks of our hotel, mostly on Grafton St in sweater shops and at the weekend doctors on Nassau St.
I wasn’t feeling quite the thing, so I don’t get out to take photos until the evening. It was a slightly rainy evening with a pleasant coolness in the air. (Read more)
Afternoon In Oxford: A Brief History.
The next stop on our U.K adventure is Oxford!
After a couple of hours in the car, it was the perfect time to stop and stretch our legs find some afternoon tea, and explore.
Oxford was an absolute must-see for everyone, so we stop there between Brighton and the Cotswolds, and although we only spend a few hours there, there was no doubt it is an incredible place. (Read More)
Dover & Brighton Travel Journal
We left London mid-morning Monday, September 16th, rented a car, and headed towards Dover. Dover was a quick stop, the visit Dover castle, and the White Cliffs then on to Brighton. This was the first dreary day we had, misty with intermittent rain, leaving me to feel sleepy pretty much all day long.

We went for a day trip up the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire to soak up the beautiful Autumn scenery before all the leaves fall. The Kancamagus is in Northern New Hampshire and is one of the very best places to find Fall foliage in the country. It is a huge draw for tourism as we experienced, the roads wear busy, and it was hard to find a place to park at all of the scenic overlooks. (Read More)
Wandering Quebec: Montmorency Falls
What an absolutely stunning place Chutes Montmorency is; the view from the footbridge was so breathtaking I hardly noticed the icy wind; there is something so fiercely beautiful about waterfalls in the winter. (Read More)
Wandering Quebec Part 2: Hotel De Glace
Hotel De Glace is truly one of the most incredible places I’ve ever been! It was one of the only things I know for sure I wanted to visit when we went to Quebec, but I had never seen any picture of the inside or really read that much about it, so I was completely blown away. (Read More)
